Instructor Course:

FAI/CPRI/Professional Responder Instructor (FRI/EMRI/BLS)

Step 1: Skill Evaluation

First aid skills will be evaluated

Prerequisites:

18 years of age. Valid Standard First Aid Certification from an accredited training program.

Completion

upon completion, you will be given your additional course materials, you will have 60 days to move on to step 2.

Step 2: Funamentals of instruction

Consists of an online component, where you will learn the fundamentals of instruction, and a classroom component, where you apply these fundamentals under the facilitation of an Instructor Trainer.

Course Duration:

Fundamentals of Instruction Online Component:
Approximately 8 hours

Fundamentals of Instruction – Classroom Component:
16 Hours (including Breaks)
2 Days

Upon Completion:

Upon Completion, you will have 180 days to move to step 3

Step 3: Discipline specific classroom component

The discipline-specific classroom component will focuses on the specific knowledge and skills of the program and give you the opportunity to present knowledge components and skill components under the facilitation of an Instructor Trainer.

Course Duration:

Classroom Component: 16 Hours (including Breaks)
2 Days

Upon Completion:

Upon completion, you will have 364 days to move on to completion of Step 4

Step 4: Teaching experience

Consists of an online and a classroom component. The online details what to expect during your teaching experience and the classroom component provides the experience of teaching an actual course with the support of a Teaching Experience Supervisor

Course Dependent ( SFA/EFA/FR/EMR/BLSI)

Upon Completion:

Please send your paperwork back to your Instructor Trainer for final review and sign off

Step 5: Certification!

The final step is certification. Congratulations! You are now officially a certified Instructor.
Your Instructor Certification is valid for 3 years

About the course:

Each step is for each instructor discipline, ie: FAI/CPRI. Those individuals wanting additional instructor certifications will be required to take additional steps, ie: CPRI/FAI along with Professional Responder Instructor.
